Mae Sweater
Made of deadstock brushed jersey fabric, the Mae sweater features Ahluwalia's signature block colouring and patchwork design. Waves on the sweater are reminiscent of the curved shape of traditional Indian instruments - an influence that is repeatedly woven across the AW23 collection. CFS certified.
50% cotton grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or genetically modified organism produced through sustainable farming practices is blended with 50% polyester is a synthetic fibres derived from petroleum-based chemicals through a process called polymerisation.
Recycled polyester is obtained by processing post-consumer plastic bottles and other plastic waste into new fibres. This process reduces the need for more polyester production, conserving resources anf reducing landfill waste.
Elastane is a synthetic fibre known for its stretch provides elasticity allowing for a comfortable and flexible fit.
Brushed jersey fabric undergoes a brushing process that raises the fibers, creating a fuzzy surface that provides extra warmth and comfort. Circular Fashion System (CFS) certified deastock brushed jersey was used.
