To mark the launch of 'From Nollywood to Bollywood' Autumn Winter 2022 collection, Ahluwalia premiered 'Beloved' a multifaceted display of Black and Brown love stories.
This is "an ode to the visualisation of love stories we love to watch in Bollywood and Nollywood cinema but rarely get to enjoy in Western media", says creative director, Priya Ahluwalia. The film is her directorial debut with the Ridley Scott Creative Group’s Black Dog Films.
The day celebrated the launch of the collection, with a pop-up shop, film screenings featuring independent Nigerian and Indian filmmakers, and a dance hall curated by Girls Can't DJ.
Guests in attendance included actor Dominique Tipper, Vogue Runway’s Sarah Mower, stylist Leah Abbott, BOF’s Daniel Yaw-Miller, actor Frankie Adams, and RSA’s Richard Nicholas.
